It can go without saying that Park Jaesang, otherwise known as Psy, is now one of the most influential artists in Korean history. Over the past three months, Psy and his global sensation “Gangnam Style” has swept over the globe, smashing down all records in his path. He has number one in 33 countries, is the Guinness World Record holder for the most “liked” Youtube video of all time, and caught the attention of Scooter Braun, one of the best talent agents in the US. By the time Psy returned to Korea, his hit single was climbing the Billboard charts, sitting solidly at #2. Many other k-pop groups have attempted to get American recognition, but all failed to become mainstream, until now.
